Teat your mum to Canberra’s BEST high tea with FREE photo booth

In collaboration with Monster Kitchen

Last year was the first year I celebrated Mother’s Day. It was a deluxe treat (thank you Paulie), sipping on French champagne and devouring, heavenly treats at Monster Kitchen.
We were lucky to be invited to try their new afternoon delight offering, available for Mother’s Day (of course). I loved it so much that I wrote a blog post about it, I wanted to share some of the dishes with you all. It was del-icious, fresh (made that morning) and Instagram worthy!

This year Monster Kitchen has two high tea sessions 12pm and 2pm. It's a refreshing unconventional high tea, Monster Kitchen has set the bar (really high).

Served with an array of savoury options - ones that you will actually eat. I mean who actually eats the cucumber sandwiches anyway?!

Some of the dishes that were an absolute stand out for me were the boxedgum grazing beef tartare, confit ocean trout and burnt honey and vanilla choux puffs.
See look I told you so!

With a range of drink offerings including, exclusive tea flavours by Tea Garden Co., tea-inspired cocktails and champagne. (Can you guess which one I choose?). The tea creators came in to Monster Kitchen to get a feel of what the space looked like and designed the tea to reflect the ambience and vibe. When I took a sip, I could feel the chocolate, caramel notes in the chai – so dreamy! I got a hug from the sip.
There are so many interesting things to look at and take photos of. The hand-crafted furniture, bespoke artwork and the Ovolo hotel. We loved sitting by the fire place watching the romantic flames. I highly recommend high tea or lunch at Monster Kitchen for Mother’s Day.
