Sydney Fashion Week: Highlights from MBFW19 X Aqua Blu

What an absolute whirlwind! Drive up to Sydney with my photographer friend Lydia to capture one day of MBFW19. Incredibly grateful to Jessy from HQ Hive who is THE PR Queen. I can’t thank you enough for our invitation and I can’t wait to buy my first Aqua Blu one-piece!
I was pinching myself. I have been working so hard for the last few years and it’s finally paying off. The Microsoft, Surface Go commercial to front row at MBFW2019. I made so many new friends and networked my butt off. I got emails for manufacturers, got scouted by IMG talent management and PR agencies. So watch this space!!
Lydia and I had backstage passes - which mad us giddy like school girls, we mingled in with all of the chaos. We loved the energy rush and seeing all the looks come together!! We really enjoyed meeting some of the models, particularly Sarah from @mywrinklearemystripes! She was an absolute goddess! I hope I am like her when I get older!

Scroll down for her #offduty model look.

This year Creative Director of Aqua Blu, Kristian Chase left a viewers wanting more. He never plays small and this year is no different. Renowned for his jaw dropping finale pieces, Chase pulled out the big guns this year as the closing piece that was written on all media platforms.
He presented “Eden”, I saw decadent blue fabrics, ethereal silhouettes, distinctive shapes and a bold Men’s line. I might even get Paul a pair for his birthday.

I love Chases fresh approach to swim and resort wear. I can see Luna, Paul and I wearing them.
Not only was the finale garment a massive STATEMENT, each model will walked with crown jewels by jewellery designer, Angelina Alvarez. Hair was provided by vegan friendly brand Davroe and make up by Harlotte cosmetics who all share the brand's vision and beliefs of being sustainable, inclusive and celebrate diversity. Which I love!!

See.

I was delighted to see that there was a diverse background of women and it was refreshing. With young girls and boys walking the runway, a nice touch. Maybe Luna and I can do it next year?!
The closing look was to die for! My eyes were dazzled by 220metres of bridal tulle, hand dyed silk velvet and close to 4000 crystals hand made into 300 flowers and dew drops!! The closing look was to die for!

My favourite part of the day...

Street style
I have to say though my most fave part of the day was oogling all of the street style. I felt like a kid in a candy store but for clothes. I also felt like I needed to win the lotto so I could wear some of the outfit I saw.
