Classic hair trends for Autumn Winter 2017

Early April is when I start to think about giving my hair a revamp for Autumn/Winter. It’s dull from the sun and super dry from being bleached. I loved the lighter look (in Summer) but now it is time for a change. I was lucky enough to see hair specialist Courtney from Bentley’s of Canberra who advised me on what I should do for this Autumn/Winter 2017.

As I was talking Courtney through my hair needs, she said that my locks needed moisture and plenty of it! A good A/W hair trend for me would be to try balayge with warmer tones and tiding my ends. Collecting warmer pigments, rather than ashy pigments (perfect for Summer). That's it! Classic, simple and effective!

Courtney suggested warmer tones in my ends and if I wanted to grow my hair not to cut it (bar the dead ends, which was like one quarter of a centimetre – I checked!). She emphasised lighter tones around my face and hair line as it would open up my face.

End result – I was happy, she listened. My hair was heavenly, it was darker but brighter (if that makes sense?!). My hair was rescued and vibrant! I loved the soft curls too, I don’t normally curl my hair but it was nice for a change. Soft curls will never go out of style. I should think about curling it more often.
